Emergency Services for transportation, shelter & prevention for families at risk
Family Aid Boston operates several programs to address and prevent family homelessness as well as a transportation program to help homeless individuals.
The Family Emergency Solutions Program (FES)
Provides temporary emergency shelter in motels while families look for longer-term solutions and who are not eligible for state-funded emergency assistance. The agency also provides families who are eligible for the state’s emergency assistance with longer term shelter, transitional housing, and stabilization services.
A rapid re-location program helps link families with better living situations outside Massachusetts.

Requirements / Restrictions:
Different programs have differing requirements. Many require current or recent Boston residency. Income guidelines may apply to some programs. Ask when talking to staff.
