Somerville Center for Adult Learning Experiences (SCALE)

SCALE’s mission is to provide adults opportunities to achieve their goals in a supportive, diverse, welcoming learning community through academic programming and guidance.

• ABE – Adult Basic Education classes
  • Adult Basic Education classes at SCALE focus on improving students’ skills in reading, writing, social studies, science, and math so that you will be prepared to pass the HiSET exam (the high school equivalency test) and to enter college.

• ELL – English Language Learning classes
  • Classes integrate English speaking, listening, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading, and writing. Technology is integrated into all classes as well.

• ADP – Adult Diploma Program & HiSET – Equivalency Diploma
  • SCALE offers HiSET (High School Equivalency Test) and ADP (Adult Diploma Program) services and testing.
• CISCO IT – Introduction to Networking
  • Get Cisco Certified for FREE! No matter what your interests are, these classes will add to your skill set. You don’t have to know much about computers to join this class. Just be ready to learn.
